Linda Birch painter author, tutor and  illustrator.

I create fresh vibrant images that capture the essence of my subjects. I enjoy working in a range of media, oils watercolours acrylics and pastels. My background as an illustrator as well as a Fine artist is reflected in work in ink pencil and coloured pencils. My wide range of subject matter reflects my interest in the world around me.

I also teach residential courses in The Lake District in Cumbria at Higham Hall ( and Rydal Hall as well as running an annual summer school in the North Pennines.

In addition I write for Leisure Painter, an international magazine about the craft of painting, and have written several books on painting.
